About the team

As Project Manager your role will include technology consulting, participation in requirements identification and feasibility analysis, creation of project proposals, performance of project planning, execution, control, and closure of deliverables. You will lead a multi-disciplinary project team working within the project management guidelines. This role may include, but is not limited to, project status and change request reporting, maintenance of project plans, monitoring project budget, issue identification and resolution management, risk mitigation and resource management.

Opportunities to make an impact

For assigned projects, generate technical solutions and design, coding, testing, quality assurance, implementation and all supporting project artifacts and documentation.
Maintain ongoing contact with project team / program area to ensure that client needs are being addressed through timely delivery of results in the form of services and/or information systems.
Maintain open lines of communication between user/client groups and project teams.
Interact closely with other team members, including other stakeholder organizations, to ensure successful delivery according to the project charter and schedule.
Work with assigned project teams and provide leadership to other staff in the execution of software development projects.
As required, develop, and oversee quality assurance strategies and protocols for user acceptance and implementation of new and enhanced systems/applications.
Work closely with project team(s) and Project stakeholders to ensure project deliverables and projects remain on track and are delivered on time.
Lead a multi-disciplinary project team working within the project management guidelines. This role may include, but is not limited to, project status and change request reporting, maintenance of project plans, monitoring project budget, issue identification and resolution management, risk mitigation and resource management.
Provide day to day supervision and mentorship to the development team assigned to the projects and acts as mentor and coach to supervised staff.
Effectively work with multiple organizations (clients, 3^rd parties, or competitors) to deliver project objectives as required and when needed.
Ensure other Lavvi resources receive the required information to perform their assigned project related tasks, coordinate and ensure timely delivery of these assigned task deliverables.
Participate in the recruitment and evaluation of Lavvi staff, as well as the selection of external contractors as requested from time to time.
Develop and demonstrate a thorough understanding of Lavvi or Client provided development standards and methodologies, tools and techniques, and its underlying quality assurance principles and processes.
As required, work with project teams to plan, coordinate, develop and/or deliver training to users.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees in external organizations.
Negotiate contracts, contract amendments (change requests) or overall business terms and conditions with other 3^rd parties, including clients, or suppliers to Lavvi.

5 – 10 Years of experience or more
Certified PMI Project Management Professional (PMP).
Proven track record and an excellent work ethic.
Demonstrated ability to adapt to new situations, acquire new skills and achieve positive results.
Team player with excellent interpersonal, communication, facilitation, and leadership skills.
Ability to perform under pressure and maintain team focus on delivery.
Exercise initiative, judgment, and decision-making in solving problems and meeting project and organizational objectives.
Demonstrate skill in writing, clearly expressing ideas and facts and utilizing proper grammatical form.
Lead or participate in market research initiatives as required.
Perform or assist in the Research & Development of new product development as required.
Create or assist in the proposal of new client solutions as required.
Create or assist in the application of financial assistance programs for Lavvi, such as NRC IRAP, ACOA, BDC, etc.…
Four-year college diploma or university degree in information technology, management or equivalent.
