About the position:

Lavvi is seeking a talented Marketing Manager to join our team! You will be responsible for owning and executing our strategic marketing plans to attract potential customers and retain existing ones. In a nutshell, you’re an ideal candidate if you consider yourself a jack of all trades when it comes to your marketing experience!

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and Own Marketing Strategies: Formulate & own marketing strategies to reach target audiences and achieve business objectives. This involves conducting market research, analyzing consumer behavior, and identifying market trends.
  2. Plan and Execute: Plan and execute marketing campaigns across various channels such as digital, social media, print, and events. Coordinate with internal teams and external agencies to ensure campaigns are delivered effectively and on schedule.
  3. Brand Management and Sales Outreach: Manage and uphold the company’s brand identity across all marketing efforts including a brand refresh. Ensure consistency in messaging, tone, and visual elements to strengthen brand recognition and equity. Review overall cold outreach with sales team via emails, brainstorm ideas including direct mail strategy.
  4. Content Creation: Own direct relationship with our vendor to oversee the creation of marketing content including website copy, blog posts, social media posts, email newsletters, advertisements, and promotional materials.
  5. Digital Marketing: Support our digital marketing strategy with managing relationship with our direct vendor including SEO, SEM, social media marketing, email marketing, and online advertising to increase brand visibility and generate leads.
  6. Data, Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research to identify customer needs, preferences, and competitive landscapes. Analyze marketing metrics and KPIs in HubSpot to measure campaign performance and optimize future strategies. Build marketing dashboards and workflows to report key metrics to our leadership team.
  7. Budget Management: Develop and manage marketing budgets effectively. Monitor expenses, allocate resources efficiently, and justify expenditures based on ROI.
  8. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a Sales and Marketing Coordinator. Delegate tasks, provide guidance, and foster a collaborative work environment to achieve departmental goals.
  9. Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally, including customers, vendors, media outlets, and industry influencers to enhance brand visibility and partnerships.
  10. Stay Updated: Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in marketing. Continuously seek opportunities to innovate and improve marketing strategies.
  11. Event Strategy, Planning and Execution: Put our events strategy together and coordinate all events to increase brand awareness.

  • Start date: immediately
  • Status: Full time (40+ hours)

  • Reports to: CCO
  • Career path advancement: Marketing Manager > Marketing Director > VP of Marketing



  • 3+ years of proven success: owning and executing marketing strategies, channels and branding
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willing to take extreme ownership of your work no matter task is too big or too small
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and wearing multiple hats
  • Strong leadership, communication and collaboration abilities
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in marketing or similar
  • Previous experience in life insurance[RA2] and/​or technology
  • Bilingual in French and English 
  • Previous experience using HubSpot

Compensation & Benefits:

$80,000 – 110,000 CAD
